When I first stepped into the world of parenting, I was thrilled. But when I realized we weren’t on the same path as everyone else, I was overwhelmed. I didn’t know where to turn, who to trust, or what the future would look like for my neurodivergent child. Every piece of advice seemed off—like it wasn’t made for our situation. I wasn’t alone, but it sure felt that way.
That’s why I created Parenting Pivot—a podcast and blog for parents navigating life with special needs or neurodivergent children.
I wanted a space for honest conversations—something real, unpolished, and grounded in experience. Not just expert advice from afar, but stories from other parents who’ve been there. People like us, still figuring it out, still showing up, still learning what it means to be the right parent for a child we didn’t expect, but love completely.
Right now, I’m in the middle of interviewing parents for the first season of the Parenting Pivot podcast. The stories we’re capturing are raw, powerful, and sometimes messy—but they’re also full of hope. These voices are shaping the foundation of what Parenting Pivot will be: a resource, a support system, and a community.
This blog will grow alongside the podcast. In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing episode recaps, parenting tools, guest insights, and reflections from my own journey raising a neurodivergent child.
If you’re a parent seeking support, stories, or simply someone who gets it—welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
More is coming soon—stay tuned.
